M. V. Vijaykar was a prominent mid-20th-century Indian pictorialist and salon photographer. He regularly exhibited his works at the Bombay Art Society Annual Art Exhibitions and at regional salon exhibitions across India during the 1940s and 1950s. Vijaykar played an important role in the Photographic Society of India, Bombay, serving on its managing committee in 1948 and as joint secretary the following year.
