Gulestan. J. Bahadurji was an Indian painter of Parsi faith with an M.A. from Bombay University and a Licentiate of Trinity College, London. She was the Principal at Alexandra Girls’ School and a Fellow of the Bombay University. She won prizes for painting at the Bombay Art Society’s Exhibition. From 1933-35, she served as President of the Bombay Women’s Committee on Education and Social Reforms. She was the University Examiner in 1933 and the joint author of the “Indian Constitution: Function and Finance of Indian Municipalities and Governance of India''. She represented the Federation of University Women in India at the Conference of the International Federation of Women in Geneva and gave evidence before the Lothian Committee on Franchise. She also gave evidence by invitation before the University Reform Committee and Hesketh Committee on Education. Gulestan was a Standing Committee member for the Bombay All-India Women’s Conference and a member of the Vernacular 4th Standard Examination Board appointed by the Government.

Her artwork (Image2), titled 'Through the Woods' was acquired by the Trustees of the C.S.M.V.S, formerly known as the Prince of Wales Musuem, in 1927 and is displayed there as part of their permanant collection.
