Description :

Yashpal Chandrakar (1964) is an Indian artist and master printmaker. He did his Diploma in Graphics from Kala Bhavan, Santiniketan and went on to complete his Yamagata Scholarship in Washington DC. His works have been exhibited in several solo exhibitions at Jehangir Art Gallery, Mumbai and Gallerie Ganesha, New Delhi. He has also participated in several group exhibitions including AIFACS 1989-1990, 26th Annual Exhibition of Sahitya Kala Parishad, New Delhi; TAIS, Japan &amp; VSA Arts International Fellows Exhibition, Terrace Gallery, John F. Kennedy Centre Washington DC, USA.

Yashpal is the recipient of several awards and accolades. His work has been awarded at the Millennium All India Art Exhibition and the AIFACS. He has also been awarded the junior Fellowship from the Govt. of India &amp; the Yamagata Fellowship, VSA Arts International, Washington DC.

He has participated in numerous art camps including All India Printmaking Camp Bharat Bhavan Bhopal, Garhi Studio Graphics Camp LKA &amp; the Corcoran School of Art Washington DC.

&nbsp;His works are in the permanent collections of GAIL New Delhi, Bharat Bhavan Bhopal, VSA Arts International Washington DC USA &amp; several private &amp; public collections in India &amp; overseas. Yashpal lives and works in New Delhi.
